01 · What to include
A useful first email
It doesn’t need to be long. Cover these and I can give you a straight answer on fit and availability:
- What the system or process does, and roughly how big it is (I/O points, PLCs, operator stations)
- The core problem — integration, compliance gap, obsolescence, or new build
- Regulatory or validation requirements, if any (21 CFR Part 11, FDA, GAMP5)
- Target timeline or any hard dates
Not sure if it’s a fit? Send the broad strokes anyway — the worst outcome is a quick reply pointing you in a better direction.
